Depth of Field Writing

In shallow-depth pictures, the photo is close up. It is focused on the object and the background is often blurred out. In large-depth photos, the picture is more of a grand scene. These pictures are wider and more focused on the whole thing. In the first photo the picture focuses on the dock but also the lake an mountains, this tells me that it is large in depth. The second focused on just the rocks, and they are very detailed. Also the background is blurred out. This tells me that is is shallow depth.
